Hi all it's Trish!
Home to me is in East Burke where I have my small farm with four horses. I have been involved for over 30 years with horses. I have enjoyed showing multiple breeds over different disciplines, and I currently enjoy showing my AQHA mare. In the past 10 years I have been dipping my toes into horse show judging, and I currently hold a novice judge’s card along with a steward card with New England 4-H. I have also been involved with helping plan and run horse show across the state of VT & NH with VHSA , CVHS & WMRC. I have also been the Horse Show manager at Caledonia County Fair for 10+ years. Being one of the founders of the NEKHSS has been exciting not just for me but also for the group. Bringing this to our equine community has been our dream and we can’t wait to see how it will grow.
Hello, I am Megan Armstrong. I am a manager at Smashin Blues Performance Horses. I bring over 20 years of equine experience and 18 years actively competing in APHA events. Horses have always been a central part of my life, and I take pride in developing performance horses with care, consistency, and attention to detail. My heart goes into both our horses and our clients, creating a program built on trust, dedication, and results. Outside of the barn, my world revolves around my husband, our two children, and our shared love for animals. I also have a passion for photography, capturing the moments and connections that make this lifestyle so rewarding. As the local horse community continues to grow, I look forward to connecting with new people and horses. I’m passionate about helping each individual develop strong sportsmanship, build a deeper connection with their horse, and providing the support needed for both horse and rider to succeed.
Hello Everyone!
I am Heather Faulkner. With over 20 years of experience in the horse industry, I have built my career around a deep passion for developing both horses and riders to their fullest potential.
Competing on the APHA circuit, I’ve been fortunate to earn multiple world titles, as well as guide my clients to achieve their own world championship success. My approach goes beyond the show ring. I’m dedicated to helping each rider truly understand their horse, grow in confidence, and develop strong, lasting partnerships.
There’s nothing more rewarding to me than watching my clients evolve into skilled, thoughtful horsemen and horsewomen, gaining not just wins, but a deeper connection and love for the sport.
I’m also deeply committed to growing the local horse show community, creating opportunities for riders to learn new skills, challenge themselves, and elevate both their horsemanship and their horses.
My goal is to provide a high-end horse show experience close to home, where exhibitors of all levels feel inspired, supported, and excited to continue progressing in their journey.
Hello, I am Sonia Koehler.
I am proud to be a part of the NEK Horse Show Series, LLC. My journey in the horse world began when my daughter started riding in 2017, and since then I have been deeply involved in supporting local horse events and youth programs. I served as a 4 H Leader for five years and ran the OCF Open Horse Shows and Extreme Trail Challenge for four years. I have also been spearheading the OCF Horse Barn Rebuild Project at the fairgrounds, and I look forward to seeing our new facility become a wonderful asset for the horse community. I am excited to bring all of this experience into the new series and help create a positive, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for exhibitors and families.
Hello Everyone!
I am Emma Gooden. I’m that horse crazy girl who never outgrew the phase. While I have been around horses since I was young, I’m mainly self taught and pride myself on always learning more about horses and horsemanship. I have tried a little bit of multiple disciplines, from gymkhana games to hunt seat at local shows. My goal is to make the horse community more welcoming to everyone while helping them to reach their horse show dreams. I’m excited to see where this series can go and look forward to seeing the community grow.
